Welcome to Our Farm School Gear Guide

Preparing your child for outdoor learning doesn't have to be overwhelming. We've gathered a collection of clothing, footwear, and gear that aligns with the needs of our Farm School program. Many of these items are products our families and facilitators have had positive experiences with, while others were selected based on their quality, durability, features, and suitability for nature-based learning. We hope this guide makes shopping a little easier as you prepare for a wonderful year of outdoor adventures.

Fall & Spring Gear List: 

 

All gear must be labeled with child’s name and participants must wear/bring:  

• Weather appropriate outdoor clothing/shoes (no sandals)

• Full change of clothes including socks + undies (in labeled wet/dry or ziplock bag)

• Rain gear (raincoat + rain bib or rain pants; no umbrellas please) 

• Healthy lunch

• Protein-rich, low sugar snack (packed separately from lunch)

• Water bottle (full size; no-spill)  

• Full size backpack to carry lunch, snack, and extra clothing/layers 

• Optional - sun hat, insect repellent, sunscreen
